So why Boudoir?

If you had told me 5 years ago that I would have my own boudoir brand I would have told you “no way!”. Not only did I barely know what boudoir was, but I also thought it was weird. Why would you want to be almost totally naked with a complete stranger and have them take revealing photos of you?

I have struggled with my self-image almost my entire life. I was not a healthy child even though my parents tried everything they could. I don’t know how many doctors I have seen in all different specialties, but it has been a lot. I have struggled with hypothyroidism, dysfunctional adrenal glands, anxiety, my female hormones are out of whack, and at one point I was pre-diabetic. I have been overweight my entire life. I had to wear boys’ jeans as a kid because girls’ jeans didn’t fit me. I was scared to wear tank tops cause I thought my arms were fat. Wearing a two-piece swimsuit was definitely out of the question. Slowly as I reached my 20’s I started gaining some confidence as some of my health issues were figured out, I changed my diet and lost quite a bit of weight. But that doesn’t mean I still don’t struggle with my confidence and self-image.

Why do I tell you all this? Because I want you to know I understand. Taking those revealing photos of your stomach, breasts, or legs can be scary. Whether you think they are too big, too small, have scars or stretch marks. I understand. Again, why would you want a complete stranger taking revealing photos of you? Because those are the things that make you who you are! You are beautiful. Your skin and shape tell your own unique story. It’s who you are! And whether you accept everything about yourself, or you are still working on it, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and stunning and show off your unique beauty.
